Job Overview
The Sales Manager supports Buckhorn's commercial execution with responsibility for driving growth in reusable packaging solutions serving the automotive, manufacturing and distribution market segments. This role manages customer relationships, supports channel and product portfolio initiatives, and partners cross-functionally to deliver high-value packaging solutions that improve customer operations and supply chain performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
  • Execute Buckhorn's sales plans across reusable packaging product lines and target segments, including automotive, manufacturing and distribution markets.
  • Manage account plans and portfolio reviews to align Buckhorn's product offering, pricing, and growth priorities with customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Support pricing, channel, and go-to-market initiatives to maximize profitable growth across Buckhorn's reusable packaging portfolio and target end markets.
  • Support growth opportunities through new product development, adjacent applications, and expanded channel penetration for Buckhorn's reusable packaging portfolio.

Customer Relationship Management
  • Manage relationships with customers, distributors, and channel partners across Buckhorn's core end markets.
  • Support pricing discussions, contract administration, and commercial terms to reinforce Buckhorn's value proposition and profitability goals.
  • Partner with customers and internal teams to optimize packaging performance, supply chain efficiency, and service levels through Buckhorn's reusable container solutions.
  • Align pricing programs, service models, and commercial priorities across direct, distributor, and channel-partner relationships to support consistent market execution.
  • Translate customer insights, application trends, and market data into actionable growth strategies that expand Buckhorn's position in priority segments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Demand Planning to support production alignment, accurate forecasting, inventory health, and strong OTIF performance.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Technical Sales & Development, and Finance to advance product innovation, pricing strategy, and margin performance.
  • Support cross-functional execution for product launches, customer implementations, packaging transitions, and sustainability initiatives across the Buckhorn portfolio.
  • Support forecasting activities with sales and manufacturing teams to improve visibility, planning accuracy, and customer delivery performance.

Team & Performance Leadership
  • Provide direction and day-to-day support to Account Managers and other commercial team members aligned to Buckhorn's strategic accounts and growth initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Coach the sales team in strategic account management, solution selling, pipeline discipline, and market development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Deep knowledge of reusable packaging solutions, including plastic containers, pallets, bulk boxes, lids, and other material handling products used in industrial and supply chain applications
  • Strong understanding of Buckhorn's core end markets, including automotive, manufacturing and distribution channels
  • Experience in account management, channel support, and value-based selling in a business-to-business environment
  • Commercial acumen in pricing, contract negotiation, margin management, and sales forecasting
  • Working knowledge of injection molding manufacturing, supply chain operations, and demand planning
  • Ability to translate customer needs into differentiated packaging solutions that improve operational efficiency and total cost performance
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Data-driven decision making, including use of CRM tools, pipeline management, and market analysis

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales or account management experience in industrial manufacturing, reusable packaging, material handling, plastics, or related business-to-business markets.
  • Demonstrated success supporting strategic accounts, channel development, and new business growth across multiple end markets.
  • Experience working closely with product management, operations, and technical teams to develop and commercialize customer-driven solutions.
  • Knowledge of injection molding and plastic product manufacturing processes strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and planning capabilities required.
