Protective Security Officer (PSO) - Maryland FPS

Summary/Objective:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
  • Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
  • Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
  • Providing detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
  • Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
  • Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
  • Performing CPR or first aid when needed
  • Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of experience security experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
  • Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a customer service-driven mindset
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
