The Business Traveler (BT) Sales Manager will work to increase hotel revenues by meeting with 3rd party planners, trade associations, corporate accounts, individuals or other market in order to promote and secure additional sales.

This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and partnering with internal teams to ensure every guest experience reflects the distinctive character and service standards of Heathman Hotel.


Requested Tasks

  • Develop and manage corporate transient market segments and achieve room night and revenue goals for all segments
  • Solicit new accounts to grow property
  • Strategize highest revenue achievement for shoulder days of the week
  • Develop new accounts and maintain growth of existing accounts
  • Develop BT marketing strategies to be able to understand and follow market trends and strategies
  • Complete and implement RFPs
  • Participate in marketing and rooms meetings and daily standups
  • Work closely with guests/clients to fully understand the scope and requirements of their needs
  • Oversee monthly reporting and forecasting needs to allow for proper and consistent analysis
  • Create strategic initiatives to drive increased revenue and market share


Requested Capabilities

  • Prior experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or business development preferred
  • Experience in group sales, corporate sales, or event sales strongly preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales management systems preferred
