Job Summary

The Broker Support Specialist supports the day-to-day broker channel service and growth strategy by providing support to Clever Care’s independent broker partners, agencies, and field marketing organizations. The Broker Support Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining a positive and professional relationship with Clever Care’s contracted General Agencies (GA) and their contracted Agents

Functions & Job Responsibilities

  • Broker Support Specialist will assist appointed independent agents and agencies in contracting/onboarding, commission related questions, commission payment status, enrollment verification and status, provider look-up, in/out of network search, RTS (ready to sell) support, Evolve portal support, enrollment kits ordering, promo item orders, ancillary vendor info advise, Supplemental benefits support, web enrollment support, benefits support.
  • Work with our independent broker partners, agencies, field marketing organizations, by developing and distributing educational and informational materials and coordinating product and policy communications which allow them sell more, earn more, and support CCHP’s on-going growth and success.
  • Assist the Broker channel in positioning our sales staff, insurance agents, and agencies for quick growth by creating presentations, templated materials, and other resource tools in collaboration with the Sales Trainer and Marketing Team.
  • Work with both internal Sales team and/or external brokers on assigned projects.
  • General Office & Clerical/Administrative Work.
  • Virtual Event Coordination, scheduling, and support for training purposes
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two (2) to three (3) years’ experience providing customer service support.
  • Two (2) years of health care industry experience preferred.
  • Broker Support experience a plus
  • Valid California Medicare Sales Life/Health Insurance license required or must be willing to obtain a state health/life insurance license within 90 days of hire

Skills:

  • Bilingual in Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Spanish.
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Ability to organize, multitask and problem solve.
  • Positive interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technology proficiency includes comfort with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint), MS Teams, Zoom, Adobe Pro, etc.

Wage Range: $25.00 to $29.00

Physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Must be able to travel when needed or required.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone and perform repetitive motion (keyboard); writing (notetaking)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods; stand, sit, reach, bend, lift to fifteen (15) lbs.

Ability to express or exchange ideas to impart information to the public and to convey detailed instructions to staff accurately and quickly.

Work is performed in an office environment and/or remotely. The job involves frequent contact with staff and the public. May occasionally be required to work irregular hours based on the needs of the business.
