We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Purchasing Agent to support operations and day-to-day production activities across our homebuilding company. This role is responsible for negotiating with suppliers by reviewing terms and conditions, establishing pricing, developing contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effective purchasing solutions that support on-time project delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide accurate and timely local supplier negotiations and contracting.
  • Manage supplier relationships and assist in resolving issues and conflicts related to daily Trade Partner activities.
  • Verify estimates of costs and quantities of residential products using comparative and differential estimating techniques.
  • Review new home start packages in BRIX.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of new trade partners.
  • Responsible for entering bid data into BRIX database.
  • Research payroll issues as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with BRIX software system preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in reading and understanding blueprints.
  • Experience with database input and reporting.
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (requires input as well as creation of spreadsheets, to include mathematical formulas, some macros, formatting, and creation of reports).


Education/ Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, and three years of experience with a new home builder.
