Bridgeway: Support Services Leadership Opportunity

Bridgeway is seeking a collaborative, service driven leader to oversee the daily operations of our Central Business Office (CBO). This role manages front desk functions, intake/access to services, and all billing office operations. The ideal candidate is committed to accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service while supporting our mission and serving as a role model for Support Services.

The Business and Billing Manager manages the operation of the Central Business Office (CBO), including front desk operations, intake/access to services, and billing functions. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate consumer information, coordinating billing across all programs, supervising monthly accounts receivable procedures, scheduling billing department work, and evaluating billing systems for efficiency and new program needs. The role also includes researching client account data, reviewing account flags, and assessing account accuracy.

Summarized Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations at each location, ensuring timely processing of calls and correspondence; assist consumers with billing questions and problem resolution; support staff scheduling; and develop efficiencies in consumer record management.
  • Establish performance standards for billing and CBO staff.
  • Coordinate consumer collection and billing processes to ensure accurate claim submission.
  • Oversee enrollment in managed care networks, Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance; maintain provider enrollment lists.
  • Provide education and training for CBO and billing staff on problem solving, correcting billing errors, and billing to third party carriers and state agencies; ensure staff proficiency in all required systems.
  • Manage billing activities to ensure timely submission and acceptance of claims by all payors; ensure staff competency in all billing systems.
  • Develop and implement schedules to ensure timely billing, collection, and close out requirements.
  • Manage past due account collections; prepare small balance and bad debt write offs according to procedure.
  • Review open item accounts (third party billing) to keep accounts current and generate timely payments.
  • Collaborate with Information Services, Accounting, and Maintenance to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Provide innovative, coordinated leadership with clinical services to support efficient performance and productivity aligned with organizational goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises the Central Business Office and Billing Team. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; resolving problems; facilitating regular staff meetings; and maintaining meeting minutes and open communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) preferred; four year college or university.
  • Four to five years of business management experience.
  • Experience supervising employees.
  • Experience with medical billing and coding.
  • Without a business degree, 10 years of business management experience is preferred.
  • Must of a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements
