Job description

Description
BRC Group Holdings ("BRC") provides collaborative solutions tailored to fit the capital raising and business advisory needs of its clients and partners. BRC operates through several subsidiaries that offer a diverse range of complementary end-to-end capabilities spanning investment banking and institutional brokerage, private wealth and investment management, financial consulting, and corporate restructuring. BRC is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices across the U.S. as well as an international presence.
At BRC Group Holdings, we empower developers with a high degree of ownership for the custom applications and vendor systems on which we run our business. We are a small, highly capable development team backed up by offshore resources as needed. You will work directly with the business on requirements and with your teammates to handle development, delivery, and support of systems and vendor integrations. As your understanding of our business and technology base grows, you will increasingly drive the requirements, business analysis, and architectural decisions for your systems.
We are looking for a full-stack .NET application developer to join our unified development team, which supports the business across the firm. As an investment bank and wealth management company, our environment consists of vendor applications, data feeds, and internally developed custom applications and databases that power workflows, analytics, and reporting for our business and operations groups. You will take technical leadership for supporting and building out these applications, partner directly with business stakeholders on strategic priorities, and as you grow you will take a lead role in managing vendors. This role can be based in-office or remote. The expected base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 annually.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Partner with the business and operations groups to deliver and manage applications that drive efficiency and business effectiveness.
  • Design, develop, test, and support full-stack .NET applications and vendor integrations across the full SDLC.
  • Identify key performance indicators and build business intelligence solutions for business leadership, advisors, and executives.
  • Assume project ownership - liaise with upstream and downstream systems and coordinate project planning, development, front-to-back testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with your teammates on development, delivery, and support.

Required Skills and Expertise
  • Hands-on application development and full SDLC experience in a corporate setting.
  • Microsoft ASP.NET Core / C#, with a strong background in LINQ queries and EF Core.
  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with web service integration (REST, SOAP).
  • Familiarity with responsive web design frameworks like Bootstrap.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project ownership mindset; ability to take control of assigned projects end to end.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to analyze the current state of project requirements and perform basic gap analysis in a diverse system environment.
  • Ability to communicate with users and support their front-end application needs.

Education, Experience, and Additional Skills That Would Be a Plus
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in software product programming and development, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft SSRS.
  • Business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Razor pages architecture.
  • Web APIs.
  • Azure and mobile app development.
  • DocuSign API.
  • Experience with large data infrastructures.
  • Experience working at an investment bank.
  • Experience with wealth management or retail brokerage.
  • Experience integrating with NFS or similar clearing firms.
  • Agentic coding experience.

Physical Activities and Requirements
  • The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Some travel may be required, and work over weekends may be required as necessary.

BRC Group Holdings, Inc. employees enjoy competitive salaries, access to our 401(k) profit-sharing retirement plan, and our other benefits including paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave, voluntary group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and company-paid life and disability coverage.
