Purpose

The Brand Marketing Manager is responsible for managing and supporting Bumble Bee's current product portfolio through brand strategy, media execution, segment planning, consumer and portfolio insights, sales tools, e-commerce support, trend scouting, and sustainable sourcing marketing. This role helps translate brand and consumer priorities into clear plans, tools, communications, and executional support that strengthen brand relevance, improve portfolio performance, support customer engagement, and advance the company's positioning as a trusted seafood brand. The position requires strong marketing judgment, analytical discipline, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage brand initiatives from strategy through execution.



Key Responsibilities

Current Product Management

Manage day-to-day marketing support for assigned current products, including product positioning, packaging updates, claims, selling materials, and consumer-facing messaging.

Monitor product performance, distribution, velocity, competitive activity, and consumer feedback to identify opportunities to improve performance across the existing portfolio.

Partner with Sales, Category Management, Insights, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and other cross-functional teams to support current product priorities and ensure brand consistency across channels.


Brand Strategy & Execution

Support development and execution of brand plans that align with Bumble Bee's business goals, consumer needs, brand positioning, and portfolio priorities.

Translate brand strategy into clear marketing briefs, messaging priorities, campaign assets, packaging direction, sales tools, and internal communication materials.

Help maintain consistent brand voice, visual identity, product claims, and consumer messaging across retail, digital, e-commerce, social, media, and sales channels.


Media Strategy & Execution

Support media planning and execution across appropriate paid, owned, and earned channels to build awareness, engagement, and consideration for assigned brands and products.

Partner with agency and internal teams on campaign briefs, media calendars, creative asset development, trafficking needs, budget tracking, and performance reporting.

Review media and campaign results to identify optimization opportunities and connect learnings back to brand plans and future activation decisions.


Segment Strategy, Consumer & Portfolio Insights

Support segment-level strategy by helping define consumer targets, need states, usage occasions, channel opportunities, and portfolio priorities for current product lines.

Use consumer research, syndicated data, retailer data, portfolio performance, and competitive insights to identify growth opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.

Prepare concise insight summaries and recommendations that help guide brand decisions, sales conversations, product support, and communication priorities.


Other Duties

Develop and maintain sales tools, sell sheets, customer presentation content, product information, claims support, and other materials that help Sales communicate brand priorities and product value.

Scout and communicate relevant consumer, food, seafood, retail, e-commerce, sustainability, and cultural trends that may influence brand positioning, product communication, and portfolio opportunities.

Support current product e-commerce needs, including product content, imagery coordination, digital shelf information, search-friendly messaging, and consistency across retailer and marketplace platforms.

Partner with internal stakeholders to translate Bumble Bee's sustainable sourcing commitments into accurate, compelling, and brand-appropriate marketing messages, claims support, and communication materials.

Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned


Experience/Skills/Education Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in brand management, trade marketing, or related roles in Consumer Packaged Goods

BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field required

Experience executing marketing plans and supporting go-to-market strategies

Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights

Experience working with cross-functional teams and Sales organizations

Strong communication and organizational skills

The pay range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 annually. *Compensation will match the level of knowledge, education, skills, and experience applicable to the position.
