What is Brand Implementation?

Brand Implementation is the process of translating a company's brand strategy and identity into tangible experiences across all touchpoints, such as signage, packaging, digital platforms, and physical spaces. It ensures that brand elements like logos, colors, messaging, and tone are consistently applied to reinforce brand recognition and trust. Brand Implementation professionals work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to manage rollout and maintain brand integrity. Their work helps organizations make a strong, cohesive impression on customers and stakeholders.

What are some typical challenges faced in a Brand Implementation role, and how can they be managed effectively?

One common challenge in a Brand Implementation role is ensuring consistency across various channels and touchpoints, especially when working with multiple teams or external partners. Balancing creative vision with practical constraints like budget, timelines, and regional differences can also be demanding. Effective communication, meticulous attention to detail, and strong project management skills are crucial for overcoming these hurdles. Additionally, fostering close collaboration with marketing, design, and operations teams helps ensure that brand guidelines are understood and executed accurately.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Brand Implementation Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Brand Implementation Specialist, you need expertise in branding principles, project management, and a background in marketing or design, often supported by a relevant degree. Familiarity with design software (like Adobe Creative Suite), brand management platforms, and project tracking tools such as Asana or Trello is typical. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally are crucial soft skills in this role. These competencies ensure brand consistency, effective project execution, and alignment with organizational goals across all touchpoints.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Remote with 25-50% travel within the South Region (Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia). Prefer that candidates live in one of these states.

Are you a hands-on brand champion with a keen eye for design and a talent for execution? CommonSpirit Health is uniting diverse communities under one vibrant brand, and we need your expertise to ensure our visual identity is consistently and powerfully brought to life across our South Region.

This isn't a high-level creative direction role; it's a critical, on-the-ground position. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between national brand strategy and local execution, ensuring every communication reflects our unified name and visual identity correctly and impactfully. You'll work directly with regional teams to adapt, develop, and quality-assure a wide range of marketing and communication materials.

We're looking for someone who:

Brand Application & Design Execution: Serve as the primary regional expert for applying CommonSpirit Health's brand guidelines. This includes:

    • Adaptation & Production: Expertly adapt approved national creative concepts for regional marketing materials (e.g., flyers, social media graphics, web banners, print ads, event signage, presentations, internal communications templates), ensuring brand fidelity across all channels.
    • Brand Transition: Lead the hands-on transition of existing materials from old brands to the new CommonSpirit Health brand, meticulously updating visual elements and messaging.
    • Occasional Asset Creation: Design new visual assets from scratch for regional-specific needs when required, always within established brand guidelines.

Quality & Consistency Assurance: Be the region's guardian of visual brand standards.

    • Review & Approval: Rigorously review design assets created by internal teams or external vendors to ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines (logo usage, color palettes, typography, messaging tone, etc.). Provide clear, actionable feedback for revisions.
    • Asset Management: Maintain and manage a regional library of approved brand assets, templates, and guidelines, ensuring easy access and proper usage by regional teams.

Project Coordination & Support: Act as a central resource and facilitator for regional marketing design needs.

    • Workflow Management: Coordinate design requests from regional teams, prioritizing and managing timelines to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
    • Vendor Liaison: Manage relationships with external print vendors and other production partners, ensuring projects meet design specifications, quality standards, and budget.
    • Training & Empowerment: Travel to regional markets to train local teams on brand guidelines, template usage, and best practices for consistent brand application.

Problem Solver: Proactively identify and resolve brand consistency issues within the region, ensuring every touchpoint effectively connects with our diverse communities. You'll be the go-to person to reduce inconsistencies and provide quick-turn visual assets.

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Live and Breathe Brand Consistency: You have an intuitive understanding of how a brand should look, feel, and sound, and you're meticulous about ensuring excellence and accuracy in every detail.
  • Are a Hands-On Design Expert: You are proficient in graphic design software and enjoy the process of bringing a brand to life visually through direct application and adaptation.
  • Are an Organizational Maestro: You excel at managing multiple projects, coordinating requests, tracking assets, and ensuring deadlines are met, even in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a Healthcare Heart (Preferred): Understanding the nuances and complexities of the healthcare environment is a significant plus.
  • Get the Local Vibe (Preferred): Ideally, you already call one of our Southern markets home.
  • Bring Brand Transition Experience (A Plus!): You've navigated complex rebrands or large-scale brand implementations.
