Job description

Position Summary:

As a Finance Manager you will assist in achieving the company's goals by providing financial leadership to the Marketing team. This includes analytical and strategic support for growth initiatives, business cases for product innovation, brand planning and forecasting, price-pack architecture, and marketing investments that fuel growth. The Finance Manager will also monitor business and competitive trends and uncover actionable insights that influence future priorities and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead Brand Finance by becoming an analytical thought partner to cross-functional leaders, driving profitable sales growth and helping to shape future marketing plans.
  • Lead the brand multi-year Strategic Planning process, working with cross-functional partners to develop building blocks for short-term success while outlining longer-term business strategies.
  • Help own the Stage Gate innovation process, providing recommendations to ensure projects are led through the process in an efficient way. Develop sales and margin guardrails, P&L benchmark standards, slope standards, finance templates, process timelines and other key opportunity areas.
  • Partner with the marketing team on the development and refinement of pricepack architecture, assessing margin, revenue, and inmarket positioning impacts.
  • Guide product margin and performance analysis (by market, by product grouping, channel, etc.), proactively identifying opportunities and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor brand, consumer and competitive trends, understanding performance drivers, uncovering insights to enhance performance, and providing recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Coach and develop a finance analyst, guiding them on innovation P&Ls, portfolio analytics and optimization, and partnering with the marketing team in managing the marketing budget.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (business, finance or accounting specialization preferred).
  • Experience in a Finance Manager role, ideally with brand and sales finance experience at a retailer or consumer packaged goods company.
  • Experience partnering and influencing cross-functional partners, with a solutions-oriented approach to solving problems.
  • Great collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills, and comfort developing and delivering presentations to senior management.
  • Proactive and ambitious mindset, willing to challenge the status quo to improve the business.
  • Experience delivering results through others, setting team priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with strong attention to detail. Strong excel skills are required.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, multitasking and time management skills.
