Blevins, Inc., a financially strong, privately owned wholesaler of building supplies, has an immediate opening for a Branch Operations Manager position at Nashville, TN location. Blevins, Inc. has a long history of success both in sales and profits and in building a culture of a positive, rewarding work environment. Family-owned for over 40 years, the company takes pride in being a leader in its industry and cultivating a spirit of continuous improvement. Each branch location is a free-standing profit center within the multi-branch company.
As Branch Operations Manager you will play a vital role in the overall success of the Branch through oversight and interactions throughout the facility. The responsibilities of the Branch Operations Manager will focus on overseeing many operational aspects of the business. This includes but is not limited to, developing procedures to streamline operations, creating and tracking critical KPIs, managing branch compliance needs, and liaison with internal business partners such as HR, IT, Sales Operations, Purchasing, and other Blevins facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to oversee daily business operations.
  • Assist in developing strategies to achieve organizational goals while understanding the company's strengths and weaknesses.
  • Responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively recommend improvements to increase Branch performance.
  • Responsible for the People, Processes, and Equipment in the Materials Area (Shipping, Warehousing) to ensure the area operates safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing activities.
  • Liaise with different departments to improve performance and work efficiency.
  • Monitor sales orders and route deliveries.
  • Attending to any correspondence and emails in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to building a positive team environment within the branch while building morale and group commitments to achieve goals/objectives and adhering to the Company's Behaviors and Operating Procedures.
