Description
MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical (non-invasive) cardiologist to join our Portland-based faculty practice. This is an opportunity to practice high-quality, clinical cardiology within an integrated, hospital-employed program. The program is backed by state-of-the-art diagnostics, a robust primary care referral base, and a depth of subspecialty resources rarely found outside major metropolitan centers. You'll be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional cardiovascular care across northern New England.
Practice Details
Inpatient: Consultative, inpatient cardiology and imaging, including TEE, at Maine Medical Center, our flagship academic tertiary-care hospital.
Outpatient: Ambulatory practice centered at our Scarborough cardiovascular center, with access to non-invasive imaging and diagnostics, including on-site cardiac CT and PET.
Subspecialty access: opportunity to join established programs, including but not limited to:
  • Cardio-oncology
  • Women's heart health
  • Prevention
  • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy center of excellence
  • Aorta center of excellence
  • Cardio-rheumatology
Structure: Hospital-employed model with a strong, well-established referral network and integrated support across the MaineHealth system.

Practice and Network
  • A growing multi-specialty group with ambulatory locations across Maine and New Hampshire, including Scarborough, Biddeford, Sanford, Lewiston, Brunswick, Skowhegan, North Conway (N.H.), Norway, Augusta, Waterville, Rockport, Damariscotta, and Farmington.
  • Membership in the nationally recognized Cardiovascular Service Line at Maine Medical Center, the hub for the extended MaineHealth network, partnering with regional hospitals to coordinate cardiovascular care.
