Senior Project Manager

Full Time Corona, CA, US

Salary Range: $130,000.00 To $160,000.00 Annually

Position Summary

The Project Manager III is responsible for leading the execution of the organization's most complex, high-risk, and high-value construction projects and project portfolios. This role provides advanced leadership over project strategy, financial performance, client relationships, and operational execution while mentoring Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field leadership. The Project Manager III partners closely with Executive Leadership, Estimating, Accounting, Operations, and Superintendents to ensure exceptional project outcomes, profitability, and client satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead and oversee multiple complex, high-dollar construction projects across departments or regions.
  • Develop and control project budgets, master schedules, forecasts, and long-term cash flow planning.
  • Provide executive-level client management and serve as the primary escalation point for major projects.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiations, scope alignment, and performance management.
  • Lead enterprise-level cost control, forecasting, and financial risk management.
  • Partner with Superintendents to drive jobsite productivity, safety leadership, and quality excellence.
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change management, contract administration, and dispute resolution.
  • Lead project executive meetings, owner updates, and strategic coordination sessions.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams.
  • Drive project standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Estimating on preconstruction strategy, bid reviews, and project handoffs.
  • Support business development through executive client engagement and long-term relationship building.
  • Oversee major material procurement strategies and long-lead equipment planning.
  • Ensure full compliance with contract requirements, regulatory laws, and company policies.
  • Lead project closeout strategy including financial reconciliation, warranty management, and final turnover.
  • Maintain executive-level visibility into project financials, performance trends, and risk exposure.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of project, financial, client, and company strategy information.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Responsibilities may be modified or added based on operational needs and business priorities.
Qualifications Education:
  • Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent senior-level construction and project leadership experience may be substituted.
Experience:
  • 12 years of progressive construction, utilities, or civil project management experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-dollar underground utility, wet utility, or civil infrastructure projects required.
  • Proven leadership experience managing Project Managers and large multi-disciplinary teams required.
Licenses/Certifications (if applicable): Skills:
  • Expert-level knowledge of construction project management, contract administration, and job cost control.
  • Advanced financial forecasting, risk management, and portfolio reporting capabilities.
  • Executive-level leadership, influence, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional client relationship management and negotiation abilities.
  • Advanced conflict resolution, claims mitigation, and dispute leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead large teams across multiple projects and departments.
  • Proficiency with enterprise project management software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-risk projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Highest level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily sedentary to light work in nature. The employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods, use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and office equipment, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach. The employee may occasionally lift or move office materials such as files, binders, laptops, or boxes of supplies weighing up to 20 pounds ..

Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in a professional office environment , with occasional visits to field or construction sites as required. The noise level in the office is usually moderate. The employee may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction noise when visiting job sites. All work must be performed in compliance with Cal/OSHA safety and ergonomic standards , and employees are expected to use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering field areas.
