Job description

The Director of Finance, Planning & Analysis is a strategic business partner embedded within regional operations. This role is responsible for equipping the NAM Vice President with timely, accurate financial intelligence to drive execution of budgeted KPIs, support commercial decision-making, and lead the development of customer-specific financial models and pricing frameworks. The Director of Finance, Planning & Analysis is a key member of the management team with full finance team reporting to this position.
Job Functions/Duties (may be assigned other duties by management)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. KPI Execution & Budgetary Control
• Monitor and report on regional financial performance against budgeted KPIs on a regular cadence.
• Provide management with clear, actionable variance analyses explaining deviations from budget.
• Develop rolling forecasts and scenario models to support proactive course correction.
• Maintain a regional dashboard of financial and operational KPIs accessible to country leadership.
2. Tender Calculations & Proposal Support
• Lead the financial modelling and cost calculation underpinning all major tender submissions.
• Standardize and maintain a regional tender calculation framework to accelerate proposal preparation.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to ensure all cost inputs are accurate and complete.
• Review tender financials for profitability thresholds and flag risks to management before submission.
3. Customer Financial Models
• Build and maintain customized financial models for each major customer within the region, including:
- Revenue and margin projections by service/product line
- Contract profitability tracking and lifecycle analysis
- Sensitivity analyses for volume, pricing, and cost fluctuations
• Ensure customer models are kept up to date and are the authoritative source for commercial negotiations.
• Present customer financial insights to Country Managers ahead of contract reviews and renewals.
4. Customized Pricing & Price List Management
• Develop and maintain tiered, customer-specific price lists based on strategic importance, volume commitments, and margin targets.
• Establish a transparent pricing governance framework with defined approval levels for discounts and exceptions.
• Periodically review and update pricing in response to cost movements, market conditions, and contract obligations.
• Support management in pricing negotiations with data-driven recommendations.
5. Purchasing Decision Support
• Participate actively in regional purchasing decisions by providing pre-decision financial impact analyses.
• Model the budget consequences of proposed purchasing plans, including capex, opex, and working capital implications.
• Flag purchasing decisions that risk breaching budgetary constraints and propose alternatives.
6. Financial Systems & Process Improvement
• Maintain and continuously improve regional financial models, templates, and reporting tools.
• Drive standardization of financial processes across countries within the region.
• Manage financial team to ensure competence and efficiency
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Advanced Excel / financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights.
• Commercial acumen - understands the link between financial metrics and business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging senior stakeholders.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Qualifications/Education Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CIMA, or ACCA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, FP&A, or commercial finance.
• Demonstrated experience building complex financial models (customer P&Ls, tender models, pricing frameworks).
• Prior exposure to multi-country or regional finance roles strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting sales or commercial teams in tender/bid processes is a strong advantage.

Occasionally required to move about the facility
Routine travel and on call required
