Job description

Apple Valley Villa, a Cassia community, is hiring a Production Cook to join our campus in Apple Valley, MN! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to prepare meals from scratch that bring comfort and nourishment to our residents. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build on your culinary experience, we provide a welcoming environment where you can grow your skills.
In this role, you will serve our residents, employees, and family members' meals made from scratch. Your passion for cooking nutritious and appetizing meals will be highly valued by our residents. Wage Range: $17.63 - $23.69 / hour depending on experience.

Production Cook Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards. This will also include feature/specials and grill service.
  • Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Review planned meals and take note of special diet requests.
  • Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
  • Assist in orders and schedules delivery of food and supplies from local vendors.
  • Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Production Cook Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required.
  • Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
  • Must be able to read and follow recipes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to stand for length of shift.
  • Prior dining/ serving experience a plus!
  • Baking experience a plus!
