Job description

Overview
Nakupuna Companies is looking for a JR. Recruiter that will have tactical and administrative responsibilities, supporting the talent acquisition initiatives of the Nakupuna Foundation Family of Companies. The Recruiter will be a team focused individual with excellent communication and organizational skills and will be a point of contact for hiring managers to understand their talent acquisition needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with utilizing sourcing strategies and working with other Recruiters to leverage diverse high caliber candidates within an active and fast-paced recruiting process. Responsible for effectively and efficiently performing all related activities for the sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring of internal and external candidates. In partnership with the Senior Recruiter and hiring managers, sources, selects, interviews, recommends and processes the placement of candidates for exempt and non-exempt positions. This position reports to the Human Capital Director as an integral member of the Human Resources team.
Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to support hiring initiatives
  • Determine applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications
  • Manage full cycle recruiting efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, scheduling and follow-up with both candidates and hiring managers by phone and email
  • Pipeline activities for "hard to fill" roles or for roles that the company is regularly searching for
  • Act as a primary point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes
  • Post openings in various job boards, with professional organizations, and social media sites
  • Use independent judgment and interviewing skills foundation to select and place contract candidates on contract assignments
  • Treat candidates in a professional manner and ensure that all business is conducted while demonstrating integrity and fairness
  • Assist with tracking candidates throughout the entire hiring process using our Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS) and proper processing of all applicant and new hire paperwork
  • Administratively prepare for and facilitate new hire onboarding sessions
  • File storage and organization of employee files
  • Process due diligence tasks for selected candidates, including completing reference checks as needed and verifying security eligibility
  • Maintain our pipeline of candidates for future roles
  • Multi-task effectively while working quickly and accurately
  • Track goals, metrics, and performance during the hiring process, regularly communicating status with HR team and hiring managers
  • Participate in job fairs as needed
  • Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality
  • Consistently serve as a positive ambassador for the company's culture in all interactions
  • All other duties as assigned by Human Capital Director and Leadership Team

Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
Self-Motivated and Self-Monitoring, Exceptional Oral and Written Communications, Detail Oriented. U.S. citizenship is required.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or another related field from an accredited institution is required. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • One (1) year of related federal government contracting recruiting experience is strongly desired
  • An understanding of EEOC recruiting requirements and guidelines for government contractors is strongly desired
  • Experience with the iCIMS Applicant Tracking System strongly desired
  • Strong technical skills and experience with social media recruiting are preferred
  • Proven experience as a recruiter with Boolean string expertise
  • Strong understanding of Boolean logic other sourcing methodologies
  • Proficiency in utilizing sourcing tools and platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Clearancejobs, cleared jobs and ATS systems
  • Experience recruiting for SCA and CBA positions is strongly desired

Work Location: Hybrid work situation (2 in-office days per week). Work location will be in Arlington, Virginia.
