Comparison Summary

Book Wholesale involves selling large quantities of books primarily to retailers, libraries, or institutions, often requiring knowledge of bulk purchasing and distribution channels. Book Retail focuses on selling individual books directly to consumers, emphasizing customer service and sales skills. While both roles operate within the book industry, wholesale positions typically require familiarity with wholesale pricing, inventory management, and B2B transactions, whereas retail roles focus on direct sales and consumer engagement. Understanding these differences helps job seekers identify the right career path based on credentials, work environment, and industry usage.

You’ll be supported by a culture that celebrates ownership, curiosity, and high performance, where you’re trusted to do your best work and encouraged to keep learning along the way.

Overview

Two Paths to Success. One Platform for Growth.

Whether you thrive on building relationships and winning new business as a Producer or prefer combining underwriting authority with brokerage expertise as an Underwriter/Broker, RPS offers the market access, resources, and support to help you grow your career and build a successful book of business.

At RPS, there is more than one way to succeed in production. Producers leverage deep client relationships and business development skills to create growth opportunities, while Underwriter/Brokers evaluate, bind, and place complex risks using their specialized underwriting and market expertise. Regardless of path, you'll have the opportunity to build a profitable book of business backed by the scale, resources, and extensive carrier relationships of one of the industry's leading wholesale brokers and MGAs.

This posting is part of our ongoing search for producer talent. We're not just filling open seats—we're continuously looking for successful producers who can drive growth and expand their book of business. If you have a proven ability to generate new business, we'd love to start a conversation. Opportunities can arise at any time.
