Job description

Setting up products, entering price changes on costs and retails for Merchandise vendors
Checking the scan ability of the products that are being authorized
Processing files daily for new items discontinuation of non active items and cost changes with category management follow up
Maintain/update assigned product category(s) item description and pricing. Resolve store level pricing discrepancies with store managers.
Import / posting of electronic vendor invoices
Communicating new items and price changes via internal notifications
Authorization and de-authorization of stores to merchandise vendors
Researching and resolving accounting and EDI issues for wholesaler and other vendors as well as posting exceptions after issues are resolved.
Updating Price Book notes/instructions as process changes occur
Maintaining Price Book vendor/category manager documents in e-files
Adhere to Company and department policies and procedures
Promptly and effectively communicating with both internal and external customers
Assisting Price Book Manager in any other Price Book related tasks and projects


REQUIREMENTS:


Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize detailed information.
Strong communication and organizational skills are required
Pricing exposure/knowledge considered an asset
Accounting knowledge considered an asset


COMPUTER/ SOFTWARE SKILLS:


Working knowledge of Microsoft programs
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access a prerequisite.


EDUCATION:


High school diploma / Some college preferred


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to operate computer keyboard for data entry and the desire to learn new software.
Ability to hear and speak for store support service via telephone.
