Starting Pay: $25.63 - 26.92/hr (+$1.00/hr Night Shift Differential)
Pay Grade Range: $25.63 - 32.45/hr

Schedule: Monday - Thursday (Every other Thursday based on production)

As a Pressroom Operator 2, you will:
  • Able to perform basic operations to setup and maintain a job run including loading paper, hanging plates, etc
  • Review job ticket, verify ink and paper match the job, and know how to set up fountains, feeders and plates
  • Check color specifications and determine how to conduct color matching
  • Run the job using standard quality control measures including date stamping and checking offset
  • Recognize and eliminate printing problems such as picking, piling, register and other defects
  • Use measuring devices such as blanket gauge, densitometer, durometer, PH meter, packing gauge or micrometer as needed
  • Enforce SOPs and assist operators when necessary
  • Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping functions
  • Report time and production results accurately
  • Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

What It Takes:
  • Ability to stand and walk for 12-hour shift and lift up to 60lbs
  • May be exposed to liquid chemicals or vapors
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions and read a standard ruler down to 1/16 of an inch.
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Mechanically inclined
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum (2) years prior pressman experience required
  • Technical training with Heidelberg sheet fed printing preferred
