Workplace and Events Manager

Bolt.new

San Francisco, CA • Hybrid

Full-time

Job description

About Us

We're Bolt.new by StackBlitz!

We're the team behind WebContainers, the breakthrough technology that made it possible to run Node.js right inside your browser-powering the online IDE used by over 1 million developers every month.

We doubled down on that innovation to build Bolt.new-the fastest way to go from idea to production without writing traditional code. It's an AI-powered app builder that lets developers and creators build, edit, and deploy full-stack web and mobile apps instantly in the browser.

We are a fast-moving, deeply collaborative team. As we expand our footprint with a brand-new San Francisco office and an ambitious calendar of community, GTM, and internal events, we are looking for a Workplace & Events Manager to own our physical space and event strategy end-to-end.

About This Opportunity

As our Workplace & Events Manager, you will serve as the heartbeat of our San Francisco office and the primary driver behind our physical, digital, and internal event experiences.

This hybrid operational and marketing role consolidates our SF office management with our broader event strategy. You will oversee daily office operations, build vibrant workplace culture, and plan and execute high-touch events-ranging from internal team offsites and local community meetups to executive dinners and major developer activations.

If you thrive in high-autonomy environments, love bringing people together, and possess a dual passion for operational excellence and experiential marketing, this role is for you.

How You'll Contribute
  • Workplace & Office Management

    • Office Operations: Own day-to-day operations for our San Francisco office, including vendor management, office supplies, catering, mail/deliveries, and access management.
    • Facilities & Hospitality: Serve as the primary point of contact for building management, maintenance, and IT/AV office setups; ensure a welcoming, professional environment for employees, candidates, and external guests.
    • Vendor & Budget Management: Source, negotiate, and manage contracts for catering, cleaning, office perks, snacks, and furniture while maintaining cost efficiency.
    • Onboarding & Workplace Experience: Partner with HR and IT to deliver a seamless Day-1 office onboarding experience for local team members and visiting remote staff.

    External & GTM Events

    • Event Marketing End-to-End: Plan, produce, and execute external event programming-including developer meetups, hackathons, product camps, executive dinners, and major conference activations.
    • Pipeline & GTM Alignment: Partner with Sales and Marketing to build targeted invite lists, drive on-site lead capture, build post-event follow-up workflows, and track event-driven pipeline and ROI.
    • Partner & Co-Marketing Events: Coordinate joint event activations with key infrastructure, AI, and ecosystem partners.
    • Digital Events: Oversee production logistics for digital programming, including webinars, live builds, and virtual roundtables.

    Internal Events & Company Culture

    • Internal Team Events: Plan and execute internal employee events, including team celebrations, happy hours, holiday parties, and local offsites.
    • Company All-Hands & Gatherings: Coordinate venue, catering, AV, and logistical setup for company-wide meetings and team gatherings.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years in workplace operations, office management, event marketing, or field marketing in a fast-paced environment (tech/startup experience preferred).
  • Dual-Track Execution: Proven track record running both daily office facilities/operations and end-to-end event execution (from budget management to day-of logistics).
  • San Francisco Based: Ability to be in our SF office 2-3 days a week to manage day-to-day physical operations and host local events.
  • Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills-you can juggle office vendor contracts, team event logistics, and external conference prep simultaneously without dropping details.
  • Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable interfacing with executives, customers, and vendors alike.
Bonus Points
  • Experience at a PLG or developer tools company
  • You've built a local event series from scratch (not just attended conferences)
  • Experience with both B2C community events and B2B executive-format events
  • You've managed event partnerships worth $200K+
  • You actually use Bolt.new or similar AI builders
A Few Notes
  • You do not need a college degree to apply

  • You do not need to be located in the U.S. - we're remote-friendly

  • You do not need to meet every qualification listed above
