Location: New Bedford, MA 02740
Pay Rate: $25.00-28.00/hr

Description: Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Boiler Operator to join our facilities maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers and industrial equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable energy production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Boiler Operation
All Boiler Maintenance
During down time: maintenance on facility and production equipment
Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends if needed
Occasionally work 12-hour shifts for vacation/illness coverage
Provide own tools (basic hand tools)
Education and/ or Training Experience:
Experienced skill set (refer to required skill section below)
High School or equivalent training and/or work experience preferred
Must hold a 2nd class fireman's license
Requirements/Skills:
Ability to stand for hours at length
Basic oral and written communication skills
Detail oriented
Basic math and reading skills
Ability to follow procedures
Must hold a 2nd class fireman's license
Physical Demands:
Lifting or carrying, Pushing or Pulling, Reaching, up to 100% of work shift
Walking, bending, pushing, reaching and lifting up to 30 lbs. (additional weight may be required with assistance)
Standing, walking, or moving up to 100% of work shift
Being able to tolerate temperature extremes (very hot)
