Job description

  • Operate multiple boilers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Strong attention to detail in learning operation, turnover and handling of critical equipment.
  • 2-3 years' experience in high pressure boiler plant operations.
  • Perform proper boiler water testing and chemistry daily.
  • Commitment to assigned shifts even through inclement weather and ability to stay at work to ensure coverage.
  • Must work weekends, holiday, nights and days. (DuPont Schedule)
  • Expectation of being able to contribute to a safe and reliable operations, adhering to OSHA, Best Practice, and MSDS protocols.
  • Full knowledge of testing of Low Water Cut Off (LWCO), and Safety Vales.
  • Familiarity of chillers, air compressors, DA Tanks, Feedwater and House Pumps.
  • Basic up-keep of boiler room consisting of cleaning, replacing of filters, greasing of equipment and boiler inspection procedures.
  • Strong computer skills for work orders, time management, and Microsoft office.
  • Well versed in monitoring and acting upon Fire Alarm panels and Building Management System (BMS) for monitoring of pressure, btu's and D/P of critical equipment.
  • Suggested Boiler License NJ Black, Blue, Red, Gold and Philadelphia Engineers.
