Description Oversee the operation and maintenance of the 80,000 lb/hr waste heat boiler and multiple smaller gas fired boilers in metallurgical copper smelting facility

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the boilers, optimizing performance, maintenance planning, training and implementing best practices in boiler management. This role requires extensive knowledge of boiler systems, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Lead and manage the waste heat boiler engineering team, providing technical guidance and support.

Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of waste heat boilers to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Develop and implement strategies for improving boiler performance and reducing energy consumption. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to boiler operations.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of boiler systems to identify and address potential issues. Collaborate with other departments to optimize heat recovery and energy utilization. Prepare and manage budgets for boiler operations and maintenance.

Develop and implement training programs for boiler operators and maintenance personnel. This includes qualifying welders (R-stamp) Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in boiler engineering. Develop a comprehensive life cycle plan.

Lead and manage water treatment systems for waste heat boilers. Maintain site 'R' Certification of Authorization Owner/User Perform other duties as requested Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline and Seven (7) years of experience in boiler engineering, operation and maintenance, including lead or supervisory experience, OR Master's degree in any Engineering discipline and Five (5) years of experience in boiler engineering, operation and maintenance, including lead or supervisory experience Extensive knowledge of waste heat boiler, pressure vessels, and their operation in metallurgical processes. Familiarity with non-destructive testing, welding techniques, welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS) Extensive experience in implementing and assuring quality control for equipment installs and repair experience with project and budget management (greater than $1 MM) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in identifying and tracking key performance indicators (KPI) Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proven track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, industrial environment.

Commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Preferred Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. preferred Five (5) years in a senior or leadership role Experience with advanced waste heat boilers and pressure vessels technologies/ control system

Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in waste heat boiler engineering. Proficiency in data analysis and boiler management software tools. Strong project management skills.

Strong knowledge and understanding of ASTM codes. Strong knowledge and understanding of ASME codes. Strong knowledge and understanding of NBIC codes.

Criteria/Conditions: Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required. What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently$120,000-$167,500. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions.

Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation considerations based on company and individual performance. Additionally, this position is currently eligible for annual long-term incentive consideration.

Long-term incentives are contingent upon authorized approval under the terms and conditions of the Company's plan and award agreements.
