The Boating Specialist in Fiberglass Boat Sales is a key role within our organization. This position is responsible for effectively promoting and selling fiberglass boats to potential customers, playing a significant role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Prospecting: Identify and engage potential customers interested in purchasing fiberglass boats.ย 
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing expert advice.ย 
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of fiberglass boats, including features, specifications, and benefits.ย 
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver persuasive and informative presentations to highlight the advantages of our fiberglass boats.ย 
  • Consultative Selling: Utilize a consultative approach to understand customer needs and recommend suitable boat options.ย 
  • Demonstrations: Arrange and conduct boat demonstrations and sea trials.ย 
  • Quoting and Pricing: Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for customers.ย 
  • Negotiations: Negotiate sales terms effectively, including pricing, financing, and delivery.ย 
  • Contract Preparation: Assist customers with sales contracts and necessary paperwork.ย 
  • Customer Support: Provide comprehensive support throughout the sales process.ย 
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities and updates.ย 
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends and competitor products.ย 
  • Sales Targets: Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets and objectives.ย 
  • Lead Generation: Generate new sales leads through various methods.ย 
  • Customer Follow-Up: Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.ย 
  • Collaboration: Work with sales and marketing teams on sales strategies.ย 
  • Travel: Attend boat shows and industry events as required.ย 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred).
  • Experience in sales, preferably in the marine or boating industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of fiberglass boats.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Customer-centric approach with excellent communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in sales software and CRM tools.
  • Flexibility for weekend work and travel.
  • Ethical sales practices.
  • Boating and marine industry knowledge is advantageous

Position Type:
