Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537- bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health. With almost 900 physicians on staff, and a level I Trauma Center, we care for well over 100,000 patients annually across the south shore of Long Island. Responsibilities

The QM Clinical Data Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Quality Management leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide education and guidance to facility-wide, multidisciplinary staff; collects clinical data; assists with quality activities in compliance with regulations and organizational goals.
  • Create strategies for compliance with New York State Department of Health, Joint Commission, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requirements
  • Data abstraction and presentation along with accountability for goal achievement.

Requirements:

  • RN with current NYS license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field required.
  • Master's degree and CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience required. Performance Improvement and Quality Management experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Problem-solving ability, creativity and effective communication skills a must. Data analytical skills required. Must have the ability to motivate, plan, organize and direct activities of others.
  • BLS or CPR/AED training required and accepted from only American Heart Association.
Pay RangeUSD $60.21 - USD $71.98 /Hr.Qualifications

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
