Job description

M&B Contract Specialties is seeking an experienced Motorized Shades and Window Blinds Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting motorized window treatments, along with strong measurement, carpentry, and blueprint-reading skills. If you take pride in precision work and delivering excellent results for clients, we want to hear from you.
Applicant Must Have:
  • Strong carpentry skills.
  • Experience installing and servicing motorized shades, manual shades, faux wood blinds, vinyl blinds, and aluminum blinds.
  • Ability to take precise measurements for window treatment installations.
  • Knowledge of low-voltage (LV) wiring, with the ability to troubleshoot and install motorized window treatment systems.
  • Own tools.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Dependable transportation to report to work. A company/site vehicle will be provided for job-related travel.
  • Must be flexible with working hours.
  • Ability to safely work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
  • Experience with Mecho and Draper motorized shading systems is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of installation duties, including the installation of custom window blinds and motorized shading systems.
  • Provide technical recommendations to the Production team to improve the operation, application, and functionality of window-covering products.
  • Provide installation/service support and field measuring.
  • Run assigned jobs on behalf of the company and our clients.
  • Advise the Project Manager/Installation Manager if product arrives damaged, is missing components, or is incomplete.
    Report incomplete work, site issues, installation quantities, and detailed circumstances that contributed to incomplete outcomes.
