Ace Food Equipment serves the Tri-state area repairing and servicing food equipment for a variety of customers including grocery store chains, bakeries, delis, and meat shops. We specialize in a variety of brands including but not limited to: Hobart, Bizerba, Globe, Biro, Berkel, and CAS scales.
We are looking for a road mechanic to diagnose, service and repair food equipment. This is a driving position, a valid driver's license and comfortability driving on the highway and in the greater Philadelphia area is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair food equipment including deli slicers, bread slicers, grinders, mixers, patty machines, scales etc.
* Electrical troubleshooting
* Tearing apart and rebuilding machines
* Receive and put away parts orders
* Packing and shipping of orders in shop to go out via UPS
* On call weekends 1x every 4 weeks
* 40 hrs + OT each week.

Qualifications and Skills
Mechanical experience required (2 years minimum). Does not have to be food equipment related. Lawn mower repair or the equivalent translates well for this job.
Proficiency in the use of hand tools and basic electric tools.
Valid Driver's License required.
Ability to lift 50lbs
Must be self motivated, focused, committed to attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
Organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work unsupervised.
A background check will be completed upon job offer.
