Job description

Job Title: Automation Control Engineer (DeltaV)

Duration: 36 months contract

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 91320

Type of Position: Only on W2 basis


Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support Clinical & Commercial Plant Automation programs and capital projects within a GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support automation software development, testing, commissioning, and plant operations
  • Work on DeltaV DCS, Rockwell PLC/SCADA, HMI, and process control systems
  • Support automation lifecycle activities including implementation, validation, SOP updates, training, and system integration
  • Participate in capital projects, operational support, troubleshooting, and on-call rotation
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards including 21 CFR Part 11


Required Skills:

  • Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Biomedical Engineering environments
  • Hands-on expertise with:
  • Emerson DeltaV DCS
  • Rockwell Automation PLC/SCADA
  • Process control systems & automation integration
  • Knowledge of GMP compliance, validation, and regulated manufacturing environments


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Biotech Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of automation engineering experience in biopharma/manufacturing
  • Experience with OPC, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, DeviceNet, virtual infrastructure, and electronic batch reporting systems
  • Familiarity with ASTM 2500, S88, S95, and GAMP standards
