Job description

Customer Service Associate for a biotechnology company located in the Irvine CA area.

This is a Temporary to Hire opportunity. Paying $20-21/hr, depending on experience. Hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. 

Looking for a positive and solutions-oriented individual to join our Customer Service team. This role supports customers worldwide with order and product-related inquiries, manages incoming orders, and collaborates with internal departments to fulfill customer requests. The successful candidate will help identify customer needs, ensure a positive customer experience, and contribute to continuous process improvements within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process orders placed via email, fax, and phone using Oracle NetSuite.
  • Provide phone and email support to customers on order and product-related inquiries in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Resolve and follow-up on order-related discrepancies.
  • Coordinate returns, replacements, refunds, and credit memos.
  • Provide customer insight, feedback, and participate as a consultant to the internal team for customer experience improvements.
  • Cultivate good relationships with key accounts.
  • Maintain customer accounts and record customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill customer requests.
  • Advise customers on lead times, current promotions, and company policies.
  • Provide feedback on workflows and processes to identify and optimize areas of improvement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail in administrative, order-processing, data-entry, or customer operations work.
  • Experience with ERP/CRM systems preferred.
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
