Description:
Job Overview:
  • This well rounded engineer will have plenty of opportunity to solve problems by using both theoretical and practical methods, participate in product development by generating design inputs, requirements and specifications, assessing competitive technologies, compiling reports, building and testing proof of concepts.
  • Ideal candidate has an interest on how things work. They should be comfortable configuring sensors, actuators and test setups and provide good documentation of activities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a key member of a cross-functional project team consisting of biomedical, electrical, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineers to achieve project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Design, and Verification Engineers on product lifecycle activities.
  • Understand customer needs through literature review, customer interviews, direct observation, competitive analysis, prototype evaluation, and clinical/simulated use studies.
  • Translate customer needs into engineering requirements into specific product, packaging and process specifications. Engineer robust and manufactural products through strong understanding and application of engineering fundamentals.
  • Write detailed technical reports.
  • Develop and execute test methods, which specify measurement equipment, test set-up, measurement systems analysis, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis.
  • Author and/or review Engineering Change Orders.
  • Point of communication for issue/bug triage, risk ranking and tracking to closure.
  • Provide solid technical skill and engineering support for design and development activities for new and existing products.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation by proactively generating novel concepts for new products and enhancements to current product performance.
  • Ensure compliance with client quality policies, procedures and practices as well as with all local, state, federal and client safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
  • BS degree in either of the following Engineering disciplines is required: System, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Software, Electrical and Mechanical.
  • 2 years of engineering experience in regulated industries (i.e. Medical, Automotive, Aerospace) is required, electro-mechanical medical device experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS/PhD in either of the following Engineering disciplines is preferred: System, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, and Biomedical.
  • 4 years of engineering experience in regulated industries (i.e. Medical, Automotive, Aerospace) is required, electro-mechanical medical device experience is preferred
