Company Description:International Biomedical, Ltd. is an Austin, Texas based company that designs, manufactures, and distributes innovative neonatal and perinatal products and technologies to hospitals worldwide. For 50 years, our mission has been to provide the best possible outcomes for the newborn infant, the critically ill, and their families.  Our family-owned and operated company stands 100+ strong, spans the globe, and promotes a culture of respect and integrity.   Job Description:As a Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development, positioning, lifecycle management, and commercial success of International Biomedical’s infant care medical products. This role works closely with engineering, marketing, sales, customer service, quality, and manufacturing to ensure our products meet customer needs, are clearly represented in the marketplace, and are supported with accurate technical and commercial materials.


This position is ideal for someone with a Biomedical Engineering background, strong SolidWorks experience, and the ability to bridge technical product knowledge with customer needs, product strategy, and sales support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support product lifecycle management for infant care medical products, including new product introductions, product updates, improvements, and end-of-life planning.
  • Work closely with engineering to understand product design, specifications, technical requirements, design changes, and product performance.
  • Use SolidWorks to review, modify, and support product models, assemblies, drawings, renderings, and technical visuals for internal and customer-facing use.
  • Gather and organize voice-of-customer feedback from sales, service, distributors, clinicians, and customers to help guide product improvements and market positioning.
  • Assist in defining product requirements, customer needs, feature priorities, and product roadmap recommendations.
  • Create and maintain technically accurate product marketing materials, including product sheets, presentations, application notes, technical summaries, comparison documents, and sales support tools.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to support product documentation, design updates, labeling changes, and technical product communication.
  • Review product materials for technical accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current product specifications.
  • Support product launches by preparing technical content, product visuals, training materials, and sales enablement resources.
  • Assist with competitive research, market analysis, pricing support, and product positioning.
  • Support trade shows, customer visits, product demonstrations, sales meetings, and distributor training with strong product knowledge and technical materials.
  • Travel as required to support trade shows, customer visits, product demonstrations, sales meetings, and other company needs.
  • Stay current on new and modified products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering required.
  • Strong SolidWorks experience required, including 3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, and product visualization.
  • Experience with medical devices, biomedical products, infant care medical products, or regulated healthcare products preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product design, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical product information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with exceptional follow-through to task completion.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, quality, manufacturing, customer service, and leadership teams.
  • Experience with product management, product marketing, applications engineering, technical sales support, or medical device development preferred.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, KeyShot, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Ability to travel as required.
