Labcorp is seeking a On-Site Service Engineer (3rd Shift) to join our team in Tampa, FL.

Location: Tampa, FL (On-Site)

Schedule: This is a full time position assigned to a third shift schedule. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Business needs may occasionally require weekend, after-hours, or emergency support.

Travel: Approximately 25% domestic travel required

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of laboratory automation equipment at Protedyne's manufacturing facility in Windsor, CT.
  • Install laboratory automation instruments at customer locations and perform Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory automation equipment according to established schedules.
  • Conduct equipment qualification and validation testing.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automation instruments and systems.
  • Provide emergency service support and repairs as requested by customers.
  • Maintain assigned inventory and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Document and communicate customer feedback, service issues, and resolutions to the Customer Care Manager.
  • Deliver customer support in laboratory and production environments.
  • Complete service-related documentation, including time reports, expense reports, inventory reports, equipment checklists, and field service reports.
  • Provide operator training on system operation and maintenance as needed.
  • Support field upgrades, enhancements, and equipment improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma with 7 or more years of experience supporting automation systems, instrumentation, or field service operations; or Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Technology, or Biomedical Equipment Technology with 3 or more years of experience supporting automation systems, instrumentation, or field service operations; or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering with 1 or more years of experience supporting automation systems, instrumentation, or field service operations
  • 3 or more years of field service experience supporting complex automation systems.
  • 3 or more years of experience troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • 1 or more years of experience using diagnostic and testing equipment including digital voltmeters (DVMs), oscilloscopes, micrometers, or similar instrumentation.
  • 1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • 1 or more years of experience performing equipment installation, repair, preventive maintenance, qualification, or validation activities.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of field service experience supporting medical, laboratory, diagnostic, or healthcare automation systems.
  • 1 or more years of experience performing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), equipment qualification, or validation activities.
  • 1 or more years of experience providing customer training on technical equipment or instrumentation.
  • 1 or more years of experience supporting laboratory automation, robotic systems, or automated instrumentation platforms.

About the Role

The On-Site Service Engineer is responsible for providing installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, qualification, validation, and customer support services for complex laboratory automation systems.
