About the role:

Working remotely, you will be enthusiastic, committed and ready to take responsibility for coordinating and managing your own time to ensure emergency/preventive maintenance service calls are prioritized and followed through to completion. Excellent customer facing skills are required.

While the primary area served by this new position will be the West Coast region, successful candidates will be expected to travel on occasion to cover for our other regions across the US. Candidates should anticipate on average, about 50% overnight travel. On occasion this role may need to provide coverage for more extended periods in other US territories. Proximity to a major airport will be considered a plus. International travel will be required for training purposes.

This vacancy presents an opportunity to provide on-site support for an exciting range of new products and will therefore best suit candidates seeking varied, challenging and stimulating work experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and performing territory service work such as on-site installation and preventative maintenance.
  • Performing emergency service (territory) repair visits.
  • Providing remote telephone assistance.
  • Being available to travel at short notice in order to support other Field Service Engineers when needed.
  • Timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Communicating any product quality issues to the appropriate persons.
  • Working closely with Territory Sales personnel and Field Applications Specialists.
  • Responsible for account management, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.
  • Obtaining and communicating leads, identifying post-instrument sales, upgrades, and consumables.

Beneficial Skills/Experience

  • Previous Experience with electro-mechanical and automated systems, ideally within the pharmaceutical/healthcare sectors.
  • Previous experience of working with Liquid Handling products would be advantageous.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to workload.
  • Education equivalent of at least an associate's degree or previous experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated, team player.
  • Ability to travel on short notice.
  • Valid Passport.
