Job description

Description:

Thysse is looking for an Experienced Bindery or Die Cutting Operator who takes pride in running folders, cutters, booklet makers, die cutters and saddle stitchers, and who won't let a job leave the floor unless it's right. Every project that leaves our building passes through bindery — it's where the final product comes together.

2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, 3pm – 1am

2nd shift differential: 15% shift differential

What You'll Do

  • Set up and operate folders, cutters, booklet makers, die cutters and saddle stitchers with minimal supervision
  • Hit production deadlines and quantity targets on a busy, varied schedule
  • Catch problems early — read work orders closely and flag anything unclear before it becomes a bigger issue
  • Take ownership of the quality of your work, start to finish
  • Pitch in on hand-finishing projects and help guide trainees as needed
  • Keep your equipment and workspace safe, clean, and in good working order
Requirements:

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of bindery or die-cutting experience in the print industry
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to read/use measuring instruments
  • A sharp eye for detail and a genuine commitment to quality
  • Flexibility to work overtime or adjusted hours when the schedule calls for it

Who You Are

  • Dependable — your team can count on you to show up and follow through
  • A problem-solver who doesn't wait to be told twice
  • Comfortable working independently, but a team player when it counts
  • Someone who takes pride in doing a job right the first time

Why Thysse

  • Family-owned business with three generations of stability and craftsmanship
  • Climate-controlled facility — no sweating through summers or freezing through winters on the shop floor
  • Oregon, WI location — small-town feel with easy access to Madison
  • Competitive pay, benefits, and a team that genuinely supports each other
  • Room to grow — we regularly promote from within and invest in our people

Thysse (tie • see) is a third-generation, family-owned commercial printer and brand experience provider located in Oregon, WI, just 15 minutes south of Madison. Our team of 100+ delivers exceptional service and outcomes for some of the most valuable brands in the nation.

As a brand experience provider, we believe the story a brand tells is as important as the materials it's printed on. From printed campaigns to branded spaces—and everything in between—we get to work on the fun stuff our partners use to promote their brands.

We're always looking for problem-solvers, creators, and collaborators who care as much about each other as the work they do. We don't shy away from a challenge, we're passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes, and we believe the best partnerships are built on trust. We work hard, have a little fun along the way, and at the end of the day, we're proud to say we did it together.
