Job description


We are a transportation and warehousing company seeking a Billing Specialist  with strong QuickBooks experience. This role is responsible for accurate invoicing, managing customer-specific billing requirements, and handling accounts receivable and collections.

As our Transportation Billing Specialist, you’ll be the financial heartbeat of ouroperations. Your accuracy will ensure that customers are billed correctly, and on time. You’ll be the bridge between our operations team, accounting, and clients—turning complex shipment data into clear, accurate invoices that keep our business moving forward.

This is not a basic billing role—our customers each have different billing expectations. We need someone who can learn the details, stay organized, and execute consistently. We would prefer someone with a background in transportation who understands transportation billing and accessories.

Responsibilities

  • Manage invoicing in TMS (ontime360) and WMS (Camelot Express)
  • Collaborate with dispatchers, drivers, and customer service to gather missing documentation or clarify billing details.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in our transportation management system (TMS) and accounting software.
  • Generate weekly and monthly billing reports for management review.
  • Support month-end closing activities by reconciling billing data with accounting records.
  • Handle customer-specific billing requirements, pod, bol, etc
  • Review transportation tickets for accesorial charges due.
  • Ensure accurate, timely billing
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections
  • Follow up on past-due accounts and keep customers current
  • Work with operations to ensure billing accuracy
  • Resolve billing issues quickly and professionally

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or freight billing.
  • QuickBooks experience (required) (TMS-WMS import the invoices in quickbooks)
  • Billing + collections experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and requirements
  • Professional communication skills

  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or warehousing
