Job description

Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.

Position Summary:

Respond to customer inquiries on services provided by the company; Prepare quotes as requested by the customer. Compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer requirements and prepare accurate pricing quotes for services offered by the company.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates by evaluating labor, materials, processing steps, and turnaround requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (operations, engineering, and production) to ensure pricing reflects current capabilities and capacity.
  • Prepare and submit competitive, timely bids that meet customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Review and validate quote inputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company pricing strategies.
  • Maintain and update pricing data, cost models, and estimating tools to support consistency and efficiency.
  • Generate, review, and distribute invoices in accordance with completed work and contractual agreements.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to quotes, pricing, and billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation of quotes, job files, and supporting data to ensure smooth handoff to operations and accounting teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to estimating accuracy, pricing strategy, and process efficiency.
