What are billets in the context of jobs?

In the context of jobs, 'billet' refers to a specific position or job assignment within an organization, especially in the military or maritime industries. The term is also used in manufacturing to describe a semi-finished piece of metal, but in employment, it primarily relates to job assignments.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

A billet, often referring to a military or security role, typically does not pay $4,000 a week without specialized skills or experience. However, high-paying jobs that can reach this level without a degree include commercial truck driving, certain sales positions, or skilled trades like plumbing or electrical work, especially with overtime or bonuses. These roles often require certifications, training, or experience but not necessarily a college degree.
