B2B Outside Sales Representative – Billboard Advertising

Location: West Bloomfield
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $45/$50K+ Commission
Schedule: Monday–Friday

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated B2B Outside Sales Representative to join a growing billboard and outdoor advertising company. This is a hunter-style sales role focused on identifying local businesses, meeting with business owners and decision-makers, and helping them use billboard advertising to grow their business.

The ideal candidate is comfortable being out in the field every day, making cold calls, walking into businesses, building relationships, and creating new opportunities from the ground up.

What You'll Do
  • Prospect for new business through door-to-door visits, cold calling, networking, referrals, and other outbound activities.
  • Visit local businesses and speak directly with owners, managers, and marketing decision-makers.
  • Identify businesses that could benefit from billboard and outdoor advertising.
  • Present advertising opportunities and explain the value and reach of billboard campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Schedule and conduct sales meetings and presentations.
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and advertising packages.
  • Negotiate and close new business.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and generate repeat business.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and existing customers.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales activity information in the CRM.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Stay knowledgeable about available billboard locations, traffic patterns, audience demographics, and advertising options.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure campaigns are launched accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of B2B outside sales experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate new business through cold calling and prospecting.
  • Comfortable with door-to-door B2B sales and spending the majority of the day in the field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Confident speaking with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Competitive, persistent, and results-driven.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline and consistently meet activity and revenue goals.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ideal Backgrounds

We are especially interested in candidates with experience selling:

  • Advertising or marketing services
  • Telecommunications
  • Business services
  • Security systems
  • Commercial services
  • Construction or building materials
  • Industrial products
  • Office technology
  • Merchant/payment processing
  • Insurance
  • HVAC or other home/commercial services
  • Local media

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who knows how to hunt for business. You don't need to have billboard experience if you have a strong B2B sales background and are comfortable walking into a business, finding the decision-maker, starting a conversation, and closing the sale.

Why Join Us?
  • Base salary + uncapped commission
  • Opportunity for significant earning potential
  • Local territory
  • Established billboard advertising business
  • Opportunity to build your own book of business
  • Supportive sales environment
  • Career growth opportunities
