Job description

Vital Researchis seekingBilingual Field Interviewers(English/Spanish speaking) in Los Angeles, California, to serve as independent contractors to conduct in-person interviewswith older adults in our PACEsurvey projects that aim to improve participant satisfaction. This project will start with mandatory hybrid training in late June where Field Interviewers receive instructions on how to conduct interviews. The project will span three months in duration. Once interviewers successfully pass training, they become part of a team responsible for interviewing throughout the San Diego metropolitan area. Work during the project may not be continuous, depending on the availability of interview assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with participants while at the day center.
  • Be punctual, work independently, and remain unbiased when conducting interviews.
  • Keep organized records of interviews and update the Vital Research team daily (e.g., completed interviews and refusals, etc.).
  • Build positive relationships with customers and comprehend customer feedback.
  • Using company issued tablet device to conduct 10-15 minute in-person interviews in an atmosphere of privacy.
  • Utilize personal cell phone and email address to regularly be in touch with Vital Research.
  • Comply with confidentiality, federal HIPAA regulations, and adhere to data security requirements.
  • Be available between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm during assignments. Actual hours worked will vary.

Requirements

  • The ability to read, write, and fluently communicate in English/Spanish required.
  • Comfort interacting with older adults and demonstrating concern and sensitivity to issues of disability, illness, and communication challenges.
  • Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate skillfully and in a timely manner via email and phone.
  • Proficient with email, uploading/downloading files, Internet use, and troubleshooting possible technical glitches.
  • Personal computer (or other selected devices) with access to view and modify MS Excel and access the internet.
  • A personal phone and reliable wireless Internet.
  • Ability to read, type, and record responses accurately.
  • Ability to follow structured protocols to comply with confidentiality and federal HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to a business casual dress code and other personal requirements.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license/automobile insurance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycare centers preferred.
  • Interviewing experience preferred.

Compensation:

  • $27.00per hour.
  • Mileage, drive time, and other reimbursements are also included.
