Job Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual Customer Service professional for a temp-to-hire Client Services Specialist opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This role supports a busy real estate and property management office serving residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.
The ideal candidate is professional, calm under pressure, highly organized, and comfortable assisting tenants, applicants, residents, and walk-in customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer support, administrative coordination, leasing support, and working as part of a collaborative team.
This position offers the chance to join a stable, service-focused office environment with supportive leadership, consistent day-to-day interaction, and opportunities to build strong property management and client service experience. Success in this role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in customers, tenants, residents, and rental applicants with leasing, move-out, ledger, and general office questions.
- Process rental applications, including credit reports, rental history verification, employment verification, and applicant approval or denial communication.
- Draft rental agreements and addendums, set up leases for electronic signature, and follow up on completion and deposit payments.
- Process and track lease assignments, subleases, resident add-ons, and related documentation.
- Answer and route incoming calls professionally, screen callers, gather required information, and update resident notes in Appfolio.
- Support front office operations, including opening and distributing mail, receiving and date-stamping checks, providing receipts, and maintaining a neat lobby, conference room, and workspace.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $22 to $25 per hour.
