Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Welcome and greet guests.
Make our guests feel comfortable and let them know that you're there to personally take care of them.
Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant services.
Take food and beverage order from guests, enter orders into point-of-sale system.
Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner.
Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change.
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by management.
Monitor guests dining experience to ensure they are satisfied with the food and service.
Respond promptly and courteously to requests and communicate guest feedback to managers.
Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Obtain strong working knowledge of menu by completing server training.
Attend all scheduled team member meetings.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Previous restaurant experience not required, but preferred.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information to customers and other team members.
Ability to add and subtract two and three digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.
Ability to operate computer point-of-sale system.
Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
Food Handler Certification required.
TABC Certification required.
Physical Requirements:

Constant standing/walking
Occasional stooping/kneeling
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds

Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
Constant receiving detailed information through oral communication
Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
Move tables, chairs and highchairs regularly to accommodate guests needs
Carry trays from Kitchen window to front counter, dining room or parking lot as needed
Refill ice bins, refill beverages, clean restrooms, bus tables, and other restaurant functions as needed
Must typically be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
