Job description

Essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Producing/Advising
  • Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values
  • Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
  • Uses consultative sales approach to identify prospects and their needs, and offer tailored solutions
  • Pursues and sells our services to retirement plan prospects.
  • Solidifies client relationships and maintains responsibility for ongoing client service in conjunction with Retirement Plan Managers
  • Completes investment analysis of clients/prospects fund options and offers guidance based on IMA Wealth's best in class list
  • Under moderate guidance, provides strategic recommendations and tactical implementation of plan enhancements, including but not limited to vendor selection & conversions, plan design optimization, compliance oversight, and investment due diligence
  • Works collaboratively with the investment team and retirement plan managers to provide a consistent client experience
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external referral sources

People Management
  • Manages the work of assigned associates, providing clear communication of expectations, established timeframes, regular progress updates, and annual performance evaluations
  • Facilitates team meetings, communicating division information
  • Participates in the hiring process for direct reports as well as additional department hires
  • Serves as a mentor and coach for members of the team as needed
  • Provides feedback to Advisory Services team members, and their direct supervisors as needed, in support of their on-going professional development goals to ensure client expectations are met

Required Experience and Skills include but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' sales experience in the retirement plan services
  • FINRA Series 65 required (additional licensing may be needed)
  • Life Insurance and Variable Contracts licenses preferred
  • Knowledge of ERISA laws and the retirement plan industry preferred
  • Moderate travel required (25-50%)
  • Experience with MS Office products required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
