Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and service-driven Bartenders to join our team across multiple locations at Benchmark International Arena. As a Bartender, you will be a key part of the guest experience, delivering high-quality beverage service with efficiency, accuracy, and a warm, engaging attitude. You will prepare and serve drinks to fans quickly and responsibly while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is knowledgeable about a variety of beverages, and is passionate about creating a fun and memorable experience for every guest. Your ability to balance speed, service, and professionalism will help elevate the overall fan experience during every event. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $11.98 and is tip eligible.

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until September 25, 2026.

From 2011 to 2013, Benchmark International Arena had more than $62 million in improvements that have clearly revolutionized the industry and made it the premier entertainment venue in the state of Florida. With a wide array of venues spread throughout the United States, it can be difficult to find one that distinguishes itself from the others. That is not the case with the renovated Benchmark International Arena, Florida's premier entertainment venue and home of the three-time Stanley Cup champion, Tampa Bay Lightning. Boasting unique features like lightning-throwing Tesla coils, the 11,000 square-foot Budweiser Biergarten with incredible views of the city and a massive five-manual, 105-rank digital pipe organ, Benchmark International Arena consistently ranks among the very best venues in the United States. The best part? This is only the beginning.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet the company standard for excellence in the areas of guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
  • Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks, including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol.
  • Responsible for learning or having knowledge of various beer, wine varieties & spirits available and being able to learn to suggestively upsell products to guests.
  • Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size.
  • Check the guest's ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
  • Communicate a cut-off to a guest as required.
  • Listening and responding to any customer requests or concerns.
  • Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations.
  • If a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, the bartender may contact management or security as required.
  • Contact a management member if he/she is unable to resolve or make a decision beyond the scope of standard decision-making.
  • Request additional product or restock product as required.
  • Always maintains a clean and sanitary workstation. Ensures bar equipment is clean & well maintained.
  • Communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Other duties as necessary, as directed by the assigned location Supervisors and Managers.
Qualifications
  • Bartending school preferred.
  • Six months or more of experience bartending.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.
  • The employee is frequently required to lift heavy objects. 
  • Previous experience operating POS systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
