Job description

Position Summary

This role is a strong starting point or advancement opportunity for those interested in building a career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct support to children and their families by implementing individualized ABA programs focused on skill acquisition and behavior improvement. Services take place in the client's home or within community settings, depending on treatment goals. Typical sessions are scheduled Monday through Friday between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with flexibility based on your availability. Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $27, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may be available for bilingual Spanish-speaking applicants.

Key Responsibilities

Behavior Technicians play a key role in helping children develop communication, social, and daily living skills. In this position, you will use evidence-based behavioral interventions to teach new skills and reduce behaviors that may impact safety or independence. Applicants with coursework or degrees in psychology, education, human services, or similar fields are strongly encouraged to apply. Being successful in this role requires reliability, compassion, professionalism, and a genuine desire to support meaningful progress in children's lives.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance listing them as a covered driver. A current negative TB test is required. Strong interpersonal communication, problem-solving skills, creativity, and professionalism are essential for this role. The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and collaborating closely with a clinical team. Incentive Pay Structure
  • $1/hour raise after maintaining consistent availability for 90 consecutive days
  • Additional $1/hour raise upon successfully earning RBT certification
Cancellation Policy

To protect staff time and earnings, we maintain a clear cancellation policy. Paid cancellations are provided for up to 2 hours of pay if a client cancels within 30 minutes or less of the scheduled start time and/or technician has already departed for the session. We also actively monitor and address excessive client cancellations to protect technician schedules and maintain consistent hours.
