The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Clinical Lead to join our growing US-based Behavioral Science team as the bridge between the behavioral science framework and clinical reality. Using BeSci frameworks, theory, and architecture as the foundation, the Clinical Lead provides the content, the safety boundaries, and the clinical judgment that determine whether the system’s outputs are not just theoretically sound, but practically safe and effective.

This role combines hands-on scientific and clinical support to the Behavioral Science (BeSci) team with the ownership of two external-facing functions: building and managing Clinical Research partnerships, and establishing and coordinating a Clinical Advisory Board.

What you will do at VeSync:
Science and Clinical Support
  • Intervention and Driver Library / Ontology Development: Support the population and curation of the Intervention and Driver Libraries/Ontologies, translating clinical and scientific knowledge into the system’s frameworks.
  • Decision Logic Review: Develop and/or review decision logic according to system specifications.
  • Safety Guardrails & Escalation Thresholds: Define safety guardrails and escalation thresholds for the system.
  • Intervention Content Development & Validation: In partnership with the Content team, support intervention content development and validation — ensuring content is clinically accurate, has the appropriate claims citations, appropriately nuanced, and calibrated to the right level of health literacy.
  • Outcome Definition and Evaluation Design: Define outcomes and support the design of evaluation approaches used to assess intervention effectiveness.
Clinical Research Partnerships
  • Establish and Manage Partnerships: Establish and manage Clinical Research partnerships that support the organization’s scientific and clinical goals.
  • Identify Research Partners: Identify and vet potential research partners.
  • Support Protocol Development & Research Operations: Provide support to protocol development and research operations with third-party partners.
Clinical Advisory Board
  • Establish and Coordinate the Board: Establish and coordinate a Clinical Advisory Board.
  • Identify Domain SMEs: Identify key domain-area subject matter experts needed for the Board.
  • Develop Terms of Reference: Develop Terms of Reference (TORs) for advisors.
  • Support Contracting: Support contracting for Advisory Board members.
What you bring to the role:
  • Background: Behavioral or clinical background, with research-integrity or clinical experience.
  • Cross-Functional Authority: Able to coordinate a Clinical Advisory Board and hold authority credibly across Product and Engineering teams.
  • Literature Appraisal and Synthesis: Skilled in critically appraising and synthesizing scientific and clinical literature.
  • Product & Clinical Advisory Experience: Deep experience working with Product teams as a scientific and clinical advisor.
Location:
  • Onsite in Tustin, CA
Salary:
  • Starting at $130K Annually
Perks and Benefits:
  • 100% covered Medical/Dental/Vision insurances for employee AND spouse + dependents!
  • 401K with 4% employer match (eligible after 90 days of employment) and immediate 100% vesting
  • Generous PTO policy + paid holidays
  • Life Insurance
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • Critical Illness Coverage
  • Accident Insurance
  • Healthcare FSA
  • Dependent Care FSA
  • Travel Assistance Program
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Fully stocked kitchen
