Join Spectrum Behavioral Therapies as a Summer Behavior Technician (BT) in Orange County, CA, where you'll work one-on-one with children with autism, helping them build communication, social, play, and daily living skills through fun, engaging sessions. 
This position is designed for experienced professionals who are available during the summer months and are ready to jump in with our streamlined training and accelerated onboarding process so you can begin making an impact quickly. 
Pay: $23 - $26 / hour 

Schedule: Flexible scheduling available. Hours vary based on client assignment and availability.

Locations: Irvine, Anaheim Hills, Santa Ana, Orange, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Newport Beach


Summer Position Details 
  • Temporary summer employment through approximately August/September 2026 
  • 1+ year of experience working with children in special education, ABA, behavioral health, education, or a related field required 
  • Modified training and onboarding to get you into sessions faster 
  • Opportunity to be considered for a permanent full-time Behavior Technician position in Fall 2026, based on business needs, performance, and availability (continued employment is not guaranteed

  • Work one-on-one with children using ABA therapy techniques 
  • Help build communication, social, and daily living skills 
  • Create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment 
  • Track progress and celebrate milestones 
  • Use simple data tools to measure growth and improvement 
  • Collaborate with Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support each child’s personalized plan 
Required Skills
  • 1+ year of experience working with children (education, ABA, childcare, behavioral health, or related field)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Willingness to travel up to 25 miles from the office
  • Ability to pass a background check and TB test
  • Ability to work in clinic, school, and home settings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with Autism
  • RBT certification
  • Bachelor's degree or coursework in Psychology, Child Development, Education, or a related field
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, or Korean
