Job description

Responsibilities

Straight 3rd shift. Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am. Overtime hours will be required both during the week and on some weekends.

The qualified candidate is preferred but not required to have knowledge in the following areas:

  • AC/DC wiring methods
  • AC/DC drives/motors/ VFD's & servo motors
  • PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff)
  • HMI
  • Mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts)
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Design and fabricating is a plus but not required
  • Preventive & predictive maintenance on production machinery
  • Mill and Lathe experience is a plus but not required
  • Fanuc/Robot experience is a plus
  • Experience using a CMMS system
  • Conveyor systems

The following lists the job tasks and responsibilities that the Maintenance Technician will be performing:

  • Works safely and follows all related policies and programs to assure a safe working environment.
  • Reading blueprints, diagrams, electrical schematic and hydraulic drawings to determine work requirements
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, and conveyors according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Adjust machinery and troubleshoot defective parts
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and forklifts, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance/preventative work on machinery
  • Other job tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications

All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have or be working towards a minimum of a 2-year associate degree.
