Job Summary

As representatives of the college, the BCTC Presidential Student Ambassadors (PSAs) will work directly with the office of the President and serve as positive role models to help prospective and current students and guests feel connected to the college community. Ambassadors serve as the public face of the college in events and interactions with community and business leaders, elected officials, and alumni.
PSAs are well-rounded both in skills necessary for success (effective communication, time management, leadership, teambuilding, etc.) and in knowledge associated with the college. The Ambassadors are an integral part of the BCTC community, representing the college both on and off campus. Students from all campuses are encouraged to apply but must be willing to travel to other campuses and locations in the region for events.

Job Duties:

1. Represent the college at campus and public events designed to engage community partners such as: Welcome Week, Board Meetings, Career Fairs, Registration Events, High School Counselor Luncheon, Commencement Ceremonies, and a variety of community-based events.
2. Assist the president and/or faculty and staff by presenting information about BCTC and the student experience.
3. Serve as orientation leader during spring/summer and fall orientation programs as needed.
4. Provide campus tours to special guests.
5. Assist with the promotion of campus services, events, and engagement activities both in-person and online.
6. Attend scheduled meetings and respond promptly to PSA-related communications and requests.
7. Regularly communicate and collaborate with the college leadership team to improve upon and plan activities for the Presidential Student Ambassador Program.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

BCTC Student Leadership Ambassadors must have completed at least 12 credit hours, be a full-time student, be in good standing in the BCTC community and institution and have at least a 2.5 GPA.
