Medical Oncologist / Hematologist Oncologist (Full-Time)

Location: Walnut Creek, CA


?About the Gregory Rhoades BASS Cancer Center

The Gregory Rhoades BASS Cancer Center is a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in the East Bay, designed to provide the latest technology in a boutique, family-oriented setting. Unlike the impersonal nature of large academic centers, our center prioritizes a patient-centric environment where providers can truly advocate for their patients. As a physician-run organization, we foster a collegial culture that balances the autonomy of a private practice with the security and built-in referral network of the broader BASS Medical Group infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive medical oncology and hematology care with a focus on prostate, breast, and colorectal cancers.
  • Program Development: Lead the expansion of the Womens Health and Breast Cancer program.
  • Inpatient Management: Perform inpatient consults at John Muir Walnut Creek and San Ramon Regional Medical Center; coverage is split 1:2 (approx. 15 days/month).

Qualifications

  • MD/DO with fellowship training in Medical Oncology or Hematologic Oncology
  • Board certified or board eligible (within two years of fellowship).
  • Active California medical license or ability to obtain one.
  • New Graduates! Encouraged to apply; We are eager to provide dedicated mentorship and training.

Colorado, New York, New Jersey, California and Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $400,000 to $500,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
