Job description

Job Title: Graduate Assistant
Department: Men's Basketball
Supervisor: Jacob Ortega
Starting Rate of Pay: Stipend
Length of Employment: Eligible for rehire on a semester-by-semester basis
Job Description:
Student employees will provide support for the daily basketball on court operations of the Men's program. This position assists the coaching staff with scouting preparation, player development activities, and student-athlete support. The Graduate Assistant serves as a resource for players by
helping them navigate athletic and personal responsibilities while promoting a positive team culture. This role offers valuable experience in collegiate basketball operations, coaching, leadership, and program administration.
Job Location & Hours:
The student employee will perform most or all job duties at: Qubein Center
Work hours may vary depending on departmental needs; however, student employees are limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist coaching staff with opponent scouting preparation, film breakdown, and scouting reports.
  • Assist with practice setup, organization, and daily basketball operations.
  • Support recruiting and camp operations within NCAA and institutional guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
